How the real-life manhunt works

Hunting Game is an outdoor GPS manhunt for groups. Choose a mode, time limit, and Play Zone, then share the join code. A match needs at least one chaser and one runner.

Chasers see runner positions at the update interval set for the game. Runners see a compass pointing toward nearby chasers, so they know when someone is closing in.

Power-ups give both sides more options. Runners can hide a location update or briefly reveal the map. Chasers can force an update or send a decoy. Both roles can block the other team's view.

Play in a park, neighbourhood, campus, or another outdoor space with reliable GPS. Choose a boundary your group knows and can cover safely.

A GPS manhunt built for groups

Friends are the game

Hunting Game is live multiplayer. Every person on the map is part of your group, and every round changes with the routes, hiding places, and decisions they make.

Hide and Seek without runner updates

In the Pro Hide and Seek mode, runners hide inside a defined zone and chasers search without seeing runner locations. The boundary keeps the search focused.

The phone guides the chase

Chasers check a map; runners check a compass. The screen provides the information you need, while the chase itself happens outdoors.

Ways to play

An afternoon with friends

Set a Play Zone in a familiar park or neighbourhood and start a chase with as few as two players.

Birthday parties

Free games support up to 4 players. Pro raises the limit to 20 for a larger group.

Team events

Split the group into chasers and runners, agree on a boundary, and play one timed round or several short ones.

School and university groups

For players aged 13 and over, a campus can provide a clear Play Zone with familiar meeting points.

Family game day

Family mode adds a Referee who can see every player on the map. Hunting Game is for ages 13 and over.

A city chase

Choose an area your group knows, keep roads and water outside the boundary, and set one place to meet afterwards.

Questions before your first game

The short version of the rules, device requirements, and location sharing.

Is Hunting Game a real-life manhunt app?

Yes. It is an outdoor GPS game for friends: one team hunts while the runners try to stay free until the timer ends.

How many people do you need?

A game needs at least one chaser and one runner. The free plan supports 2–4 players, and Pro supports up to 20.

Can iPhone and Android players join the same game?

Yes. Everyone enters the same join code, so iPhone and Android players can play together.

Does the game need GPS and mobile data?

Yes. Each phone needs location access and an internet connection to send and receive positions during the game.

Who can see my location?

Players see locations according to their role. Anyone with the short join code can also watch the live game on the website, so only share it with people you trust.

Does location sharing continue in the background?

It can continue while an active game is running, even when the app is not on screen. Tracking stops outside an active game, and live locations, routes, and chat are deleted about five minutes after it ends.

What should families know before playing?

Hunting Game is for ages 13 and over. Play with people you know, agree on a familiar boundary, and keep traffic, water, and unsafe areas outside it.
